Outside the Casita

The casita was originally an outbuilding on a small 3 hectare (6 acre) vineyard and was later converted into a twobedroomed cottage. The main house is the family home of the owners and the surrounding land is now a mix of garden, orchard, allotment, planted land and a crop field.

Around the casita are terraces with table and chairs looking over the land and to the surrounding countryside. These terraces are ideal for breakfast, lunch or dinner, or simply relaxing and enjoying the environment.

Immediately in front of the casita there is a lawn which extends into a planted area and beyond to a cultivated field. The views are uninterrupted into the surrounding countryside and to the nearby hilltop village of Jimena.

Directly behind the casita is a private shared swimming pool with its own terraced area, sunloungers and shaded pool-hut. The pool has a stepped entrance into the shallow end making access easy and is 1.8m at its deepest. In the heat of summer it is perfect for cooling off and chilling out.

We invite you to walk around the land and relax in some of its different spaces such as the grove of trees with hammocks inside. In spring/early summer there are abundant wildflowers and there is seasonal produce throughout the year including citrus fruits, mulberries, pomegranates and figs. There are also many birds around as it is a migration crossing point from Europe to Africa.
